I was not seeking you, and yet you were seeking to be found by me. You drew near to me even before I tried.

What gift would you not give, Lord, to your wayward child, lost and self-imprisoned? I was bestowed treasure before I thought to look for it.

Now today: what grace is already on its way to me?

Let me make myself more worthy.
