I fell asleep, and you were with me.

In the night, over me you watched.

Through difficult labors, you sang sweet melodies to buoy my spirits.

Now, when I wake, here you are again, sitting on a cushion beside me.

You never left, neither will you abandon me today.

O solace, today will bring yet more of you, sweet Lord.

I shall be grateful; let me do your will.
