Lord, let me walk gently through this rubble. On the other side I will have found the way was smooth. You made it so.

My guide, my friend, my soul-keeper. Be with me, walk with me, beckon me through what I fear and what vexes.

You are with me, Lord. I shall be with you.

Yesterday’s worry and woe was so real, yet this morning in my rooms I scarce can recall the pain.

If I must work so hard to relive anguish, shall I then give up the effort and walk on in joy?

Lord, this moment of peace — let it be with me at noon, at dusk, at day’s end.

All is already well, I need but look more closely.

Let me be a channel through which you flow into the world, Lord.

I ask and ask — let me set aside selfish prayers. Let sun shine down upon me, heal me, strengthen me, that I may rise and serve the broken ones in your creation.

Thy will be done.
