Knocking

Who upon whose door?

Who knocks upon whose door?

Am I waiting, alone in my room, for your visit?

Must I find your door, on a journey, and knock to seek entrance to your audience?

My outstretched arm, toward your outstretched arm — we draw toward one another.

I can wait, and you will come. I can seek, and I will encounter you.

We knock on one another’s doors.

– from the mountain

Consider:

Can I better seek you, Lord?
