Something ensures that the stone I toss falls to the ground.

I cannot see the wind, yet the saplings bend and the shed door flaps.

After a summer shower, the puddles disappear by nightfall.

I cannot see all the forces at work, yet I see their effects. What of my life? I cannot see what is creating the miracles that compound daily — yet let me trust that they are there nonetheless.

Inexorable, unseen forces are with me.
