The one sheep, lost. Do you smile upon it like the rest of the flock?

Sun shines on all, even those who wander through overgrown meadows. It is not limited to my carefully kept yards.

Those meadows are not mine to reclaim. The sheep not mine to pursue.

Let me tend this garden. Grant me trust in your grace for others, Lord.

Morning chores. Dawn spreads and light hits the pond. What if I were not here, would the grounds yet thrive?

Fences need fixing; brush clearing.

I live on your lands, dear Lord. What treasure you entrust to me. Look! My neighbors, they equally hold necessary duties. Together this place is maintained a paradise.

Let us attend to our tasks while the sun climbs in the sky. Soon enough it will be time to rest together and reflect on your providence.

Thy will be done, for all is well.

You who raised mountains and sent rains, flung stars across the night and stirred the winds, you who are my special friend and constant companion, your power now is equal to your power then.

I worry over such small matters when I have at my side the maker of worlds.

Grant me awareness, Lord, of all I already can do.

A wounded creature at the edge of the forest. Dawn hits it as I pass. Does it want my help to heal?

Perhaps I can leave food nearby. I can clear a path to the stream.

Lord, guide my thoughts and hands today, to help where I can as you would have me. Let me do your will only.
