Good Wishes

And more.

My neighbor has trouble.

Their fence was crushed under a falling tree. Repairs must be made, but they are not mine to make.

Still, that fence serves us all by keeping the herd contained.

While I watch, from my morning room, I send good wishes. Can I do more? Let me do more, Lord.

Let my love and gratitude be an action.

Can I do more for my fellows?

Compassion

Offered to all.

I am desperate for my neighbor, my family, the world, to know the truth: all will be well.

Am I equally desperate to know this myself?

Might I treat myself with the same compassion I try to bring to others?

Let me love the small soul locked within my body, Lord.

Consider:

Can I offer myself compassion?

Comfort

Deserved by all.

Did I have an opportunity to offer comfort, and refuse? To welcome, yet I turned them away, while others I embraced?

The sea welcomes all rivers, clean and choked with waste equally. The rain falls on fertile and fallow ground equally.

Wherefore then do I judge?

Let me love all.

Supported

Not floating.

Laying on the ground floor of a quiet room.

I am pressed up by the earth as evenly as I am held down. I do not float away, I do not sink down.

Perfectly supported.

Can I feel your support in all things?
